Generi Lipsync #3

This time round I just added some more detail like eyebrow movement, ear twitching and some blinking.

Generi Guy Lipsync #2

I went on further to add in mouth shapes that form the words; M's and O's formed the primary shapes and then I had to go in and fine tune the more detailed options like mouth size and squeeze.

Generi Guy Lipsync #1

For these tutorials we started learning the basics behind lipsyncing animations to audio. First off on the list was to get the jaw movements in accordance to the words. Not too difficult but it's imperative not to put in too many jaw bounces.

Mudbox Week 3

This week in Mudbox we dipped our fingers into painting in realtime on a 3D model. Many of the tools and layer options are nearly identical to Photoshop so it was easy getting aquanted with painting. This is just a little experiment I've done on a downloaded wasp model.

A Little Bit of Symmetry

Le pointed me to an interesting interactive site that I am in turn addicted to now called Silk: http://new.weavesilk.com/?pi8

The site allows you to select some colours but most importantly theres a symmetry option for drawing. It allows very fluid shapes to form when drawing. Anywho some of these designs are an interesting foundation for character design, when I have time I might use some to create a character.

Everyone should give this site a go, it's highly addictive :)

Blog Visual Update

Finally got around to creating my own blog title. This was partially a beer fueled art session and guess what, beer works. My new blog title and theme is based around my last name 'Burokas' meaning beetroot in Lithuanian (laugh all you want) so I decided to do a little tree dude with a beetroot growing on him, what could be better :)

Mudbox Week 2

This week in Mudox we continued playing around with new more in depth tool options and also layers. The layers can be created set onto a certain level of polygon division which makes for more detailed creation.

Mudbox Week 1

Week 1 of Mudbox consisted of getting used to the tools and functions of the program which turned out to be very much like a combination of Maya and Photoshop. Overall the program is addictive and fun and here was my first dabble into Mudbox; the merman.
